XVth International IADA Congress

We are delighted to invite you to the XVth International IADA Congress from the 16th to the 20th of October 2023 in the two East German cities of Halle and Leipzig. It is a premiere we are very excited about! This is the first time the congress will take place in two cities located very close to each other. At this IADA Congress, we also want to try something new in another aspect and extend the active conference part up to two days with hands-on workshops, tours and expert talks. These events will take place at different locations in Leipzig and give you all the opportunity to get into a professional exchange with colleagues in smaller groups. The congresses of the International Association of Book and Paper Conservators (IADA) have provided a quadrennial forum to present research and development in paper and book conservation since 1967. Unlike the IADA symposia, IADA’s congresses strive to offer diverse, comprehensive and cross-disciplinary presentations in preservation, conservation, collection care, and research and testing of the World’s Documentary Heritage and related disciplines.
